Privacy Policy

PortBrief is operated by Abra Innovations V.B.A., based in Aruba. This policy explains what information we collect through the PortBrief website and WhatsApp service, and how we use it.

WhatsApp number. You opt in by messaging us on WhatsApp first. Once you do, we receive your phone number and the messages you send us. We use this to deliver your daily brief, alerts, and Port Concierge responses, and to identify your subscriber type (tourist, resident, or business). On WhatsApp, reply menu to turn individual alert types on or off, or reply cancel to end your subscription entirely.

Email address. If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address to send occasional product and port news updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Payment information.Card payments are processed by CXPay, our payment partner. Card numbers are entered directly into CXPay's secure form and never pass through or get stored on PortBrief's servers.

Usage and verification data. We use Google reCAPTCHA on our signup forms to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and send it to Google.

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver daily briefs, alerts, and Port Concierge replies over WhatsApp
• Send newsletter emails you've opted into
• Process payments for paid plans
• Prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent signups
• Improve PortBrief's service and respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We share information with service providers that help us operate PortBrief: WhatsApp Business (Meta) for message delivery, CXPay for payment processing, Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention, and our email delivery provider for the newsletter. Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies.

We retain your WhatsApp number and email address for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterward to handle support requests and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

On WhatsApp, reply menu to turn off specific alert types while staying subscribed, or reply cancel to stop all WhatsApp messages. The email newsletter is separate: unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email. You can also contact us directly to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
